Stodel tops leader board at World Championships

SAILOR Hannah Stodel is leading the way at the 2012 IFDS World Championships.
The Great Britain paralympic sailing team of Stodel, John Robertson and Steve Thomas head the leader board in the Sonar class at the event in Charlotte Harbour, Miami, after the first three days.
West Mersea's Stodel, along with Robertson and Thomas, overtook Ireland’s John Twomey, Anthony Hegarty and Ian Costello, Aleksander Wang-Hansen, Marie Solberg and Per Eugen Kristiansen, of Norway, on the strength of a pair of second place finishes at the end of day three.
The championships are due to conclude on Sunday.
