Army charity to benefit from Colchester beer festival

THE Parachute Regiment Charity will benefit from money raised at this year’s Colchester Winter Beer and Cider Festival.
The fifth annual event, running from Thursday, January 19 to Saturday, January 21, will feature more than 100 real ales from the likes of the Mersea Island Brewery and Mighty Oak in Maldon, along with 20 ciders.
Also on offer will be Belgian beers, wines from the Mersea Island Vineyard, hot food and live music on Saturday night from the Nova Cross.
The festival is open daily from noon to 11pm, with admission free until 3pm and £2.50 afterwards.
