The youth, who lives locally, was walking along Upland Road, near the recycling centre about 9.10pm when he was approached by two other youths. Nothing was said, but he was conscious of a pain in his side and found that he had been stabbed.

He was taken to Colchester hospital for treatment and admitted, although his injuries are not life changing. His attackers are described as being aged 16-18 years, one wearing a black tracksuit and the other a grey tracksuit.

Anyone with any information about the incident should contact Dc Rachel Evemy at Colchester on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
