Mersea homes consultation ends at midnight

10:39am Friday 6th January 2012 in News

CONSULTATION over plans to build more than 2,000 homes in north Colchester ends at midnight tonight.

Mersea Homes have submitted a planning application in the spring for 2,200 homes and community facilities off Nayland Road.

The plans have been met with objections from some residents who say it will increase traffic, ruin views and over populate the area.

People have until midnight to register their views.

You can register your opinion by visiting the Colchester North website at www.colchesternorth.co.uk

The plans are also available to view at Myland Parish Council’s offices.

You can contact Helen Harris, the clerk to the council, by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone on 01206 853400.

A report based on the consultation findings will be published in January.

If you have any queries or comments after that time, you can submit a question at www.colchesternorth.co.uk/questions A Colchester North spokesman said: "It’s really important for us to hear what you think of our proposals, to help us make sure they respond to local needs."
