BRAVE Henry Reilly, six, from West Mersea, has vowed to beat leukaemia for a second time.

His mum Rebecca has thanked friends, family and colleagues at Stanway School for their help and fundraising effort during Henry's illness.

Also in Thursday's Gazette: * The father-in-law of a Colchester soldier killed in Afghanistan will run, swim and cycle 1,000 miles in his memory.

* Commuters faced a torrid return to work after the Christmas break as local authorities stayed closed.
