Colchester: 82-year-old badly burned in house fire

AN 82-year-old suffered serious burns in a house fire in Stanway.
Fire crews from Colchester and West Mersea were called to Holly Road shortly after midnight.
Thirty per cent of the semi-detached house was on fire when they arrived.
At 00:37 hrs, they reported that everyone had been accounted for.
An 82-year-old casualty suffered serious burns and was taken to hospital.
A man and a woman, both aged 25, suffered smoke inhalation.
A joint Police and Fire Service investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the incident.
