Cantabrigian will have two changes to the pack for their trip to Ipswich YM in Greene King IPA Eastern Counties One.

Chris Walliker and Charlie Searle are both unavailable, so Jonny Heaver takes over in the second row and Isaia Barbieri deputises in the front row. There is one change in the backs from the team that beat Mersea Island 82-3, with James Thomas replacing Sammy Kididromo.

Cantabs have a 100 per cent record this season, and Ipswich YM have lost only once, so captain Rich Ford is anticipating a tough match.

"From every other team that have played them and we have played, they have said Ipswich have recruited well in the summer, but say we should have the beating of them really," said Ford.

"We played them in a cup game last season and beat them 42-9, but it was a scrappy game. They are quite heavy, physical and aggressive in the forwards. And they have strengthened in the backs."

Ely skipper Karl Hayler is not reading too much into the league form of tomorrow’s opponents Woodbridge.

They have won only once this season, but Hayler said: "They are behind us and have shipped a lot of points. But I never take anything for granted as it’s a hard game and they are a similar side to us.

"It doesn’t matter what their form is, they always give us a hard game."

John Hunt and Tom Hill are unavailable and Lee Coulson has an elbow injury, so Jamie Russell, who will hook, and Sean Kennett, at lock, will be among the replacements.

Sawston will be aiming to bounce back from their 99-10 humbling at Hadleigh when they play host to Thetford in Eastern Counties Two.
