It was a try feast in Greene King Eastern Counties One as Cantabrigian and Ely ran riot.
Cantabs made it six wins out of six with a crushing 82-3 victory over Mersea Island, with James McLaughen leading the way with four tries.
Dean James (right) and Dan Searle crossed the whitewash twice each and Sammy Kidi¬dromo, Francois Eve, Chris Walliker, Charlie Searle and Ben Farmer got one apiece.
Ali McCormick kicked a penalty and four conversions and Adrian Clague weighed in with three conversions.
"It clicked, and we had been threatening it for the last couple of weeks now," said senior player Walliker.
"The things we worked on went well. On their ball, we had a first snap at it and if we didn’t get it, fanned out.
"Our off-loading and support play was excellent. The ball was kept alive, and if it wasn’t on, it wasn’t on. We didn’t take the foot off the pedal and we focused for 80 minutes."
Ely scored one try fewer in their 75-8 rout of Broadland-Great Yarmouth.
They had four players getting two apiece, in John Dibb, Sandy Statham, Sam Benzie and Charlie Coupland.
Skipper Karl Hayler, Dan Coulson, Lee Coulson and Chris Pearson crossed the whitewash once each, and Benzie added the remaining points with his boot.
"We were actually very, very good," said Hayler. "I have never seen our side handle the ball so well. A lot of the stuff we’ve worked on just clicked and came together.
"It was relentless all the way through and just good stuff. We had just come back off a two-week break, trained really hard and righted a few wrongs."
But in Eastern Counties Two, Sawston found themselves on the wrong end of the scoring, going down 99-10 at Hadleigh.
