The FA Inter League Cup Round One

The Essex Olympian League suffered an early exit from the competition when they lost 4-1 at home to the Herts Senior County League.

Three goals in the first 14 minutes made it an uphill struggle and a superb display the Herts keeper made the task even more difficult.

The visitors went ahead on six minutes when Harry Holland scored a 20-yard free-kick and four minutes later a long ball caught out the defence and was slotted home by Charlie Ledula. Herts went further behind on 14 minutes when John Curtis turned in the area and found the top left-hand corner of the goal.

Jordan Cox pulled a goal back on 48 minutes when, after being fouled in the penalty area, he slotted home the spot-kick to make the score 3-1. This did not set up a revival though, and on 80 minutes Ledula netted his second with a glancing header.
