Yacht runs aground near Bradwell

A YACHT ran into difficulties after running aground and damaging its keel.
Coastguard crews received a call from the crew of the 29ft yacht, called Throstle, reporting they had run aground near Bradwell Marina in the River Blackwater and that their vessel had been damaged.
West Mersea lifeboat crews attended the incident with a salvage pump to prevent the boat from sinking when it was refloated.
The craft and its crew of two people and a dog were then towed back to Bradwell Marina.
The incident happened at about 8.30am on Saturday.
